Standard Industrial Model AP500-76-60 4 Post Press 480 volt

The Model AP is a vertical, down acting, hydraulic press with a guided platen. It is powered by a single, heavy duty, machine tool quality hydraulic cylinder. The platen is fitted with bearings of A660 bronze and rides on four columns of turned ground, polished and chromed 1045 steel.

The structure is fabricated from heavy sections of prime steel plate. This press is designed for production duty metalworking such as die trim, drawing, stamping, blanking, punching and forming. It can also be applied to non-metal applications such as plastic forming, die cutting and countless other uses where a rugged and dependable power source is required.

Hydraulic machines of this type offer full tonnage throughout the stroke which is useful for a variety of work, such as drawing with a long stroke, and is helpful in set-up. Training of set-up personnel is less critical than with mechanical powered presses. The work stroke may be used for multiple operations in a single stroke, such as ?stepping? of dies.

The bed and ram are machined with (2) 5/8? T-slots, running front to back, located 18? off center line.
